The Catalyst Soccer Club was founded in 1999, by former MLS player and current Cal Poly Men's Soccer Coach, Paul Holocher in Santa Cruz County while coach at UC Santa Cruz. The Catalyst has been recognized by "Soccer America" magazine as one of the best youth clubs in the country. In conjunction with Cal Poly Women's and Men's coaching staffs and current players, the Catalyst Soccer Club is excited to bring a high-level and positive learning experience to the soccer-loving young players of San Luis and Santa Barbara Counties.
Super FUNdamentals (For Boys + Girls ages 6-14)
In the tradition of the first year... a great summer soccer camp that features professional instruction to give your kids the superb learning they need to develop in the beautiful sport of soccer. The camp will cover all aspects of the game with special emphasis on the fundamentals of passing, shooting, dribbling, and good defensive habits as well as many contests and fun soccer related games to challenge and excite the young player to new levels!
Little Skillbuilders Camps (For Boys + Girls Ages 4-6)
The Catalyst Soccer Club's new Little SkillsBuilder Program is an excellent course on becoming a fundamentally sound, young
soccer player – regardless of beginning skill or experience level. All boys and girls (ages 4-6) who have the desire to become better players are welcome. Taught by a staff of top local youth coaches and collegiate players who show "by example" how to become a more skillful player. Topics covered include simple moves, turns, fakes, many ball-control techniques and fun
soccer-related games for your new soccer player.
