Catalyst Mission Statement
The Catalyst Soccer Mission is simple: teach our young players the skillful side of soccer, the Catalyst Soccer way. The mission is to identify, develop and inspire young soccer players and youth coach to new levels of understanding and enjoyment. Since Catalyst is not a “team” our focus is purely player and skill development and not on winning or losing the game. At Catalyst, winning is defined by effort and enjoyment and developing skills that can help you enjoy and play the game at higher levels. America is growing by leaps and bounds in the sport of soccer and it is early age development (ages 4-12) that can make the biggest impact of all.
Catalyst Soccer Founder and Former professional, Paul Holocher
“No other ages are more important than these golden years of learning (ages 4-12) in developing the balance, the coordination, and the insights of a soccer player. Kids are like sponges during these golden ages of learning and too often we, as adults, forget that they are capable of learning the real skills of the game at this age.”
“Demonstration of the skills is also a special component of the Catalyst program. At Catalyst our coaching staff are all high-level players that have immense knowledge in developing fun and challenging trainings and games that can inspire our youth to play with greater skill and intelligence.”

SOCCER AMERICA’S YOUTH SOCCER LETTER HIGHLIGHTS PREMIER YOUTH PROGRAMS IN THE US
A Northern California Club, Catalyst, focuses exclusively on teaching kids ball technique. . . .At 9am on mid-June the Aptos Polo Grounds swarms with 7 & 8 year olds. Each has a soccer ball. And as in Europe or South America – but rare in America – every child is completely comfortable with the ball. They juggle, using every body part. They pull the ball back with either foot, lean low and then cut back in the opposite direction. They do it with grace and just the right tempo. It is as smooth a demonstration of U-9 skills as can be found anywhere in the United States. . .
